Our new team member will:
Provide administrative support to the foster care team through: excellent customer service, assistance with referrals, and sending/tracking/receiving of invoices and regulatory documents.
Job Description:
Basic Function: Provides administrative support to foster care services including but not limited to referral engagement, matching, invoicing, payments, operational planning and other administrative duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support to the CAS Foster Care team.
- Provides exemplary customer support through verbal and written communication, meeting needs of children/families/staff, and resolution of issues as they arise.
- Ensures administrative preparation for successful state licensure and accreditation by Carolina Adoption Services.
- Provides complete packets for families who are interested in foster parenting and to agencies seeking to place children.
- Assists with child placement referrals and related administrative tasks: sending documents, ensuring receipt of required regulatory documents.
- Gathers completed placement agreements, notifies the finance team, invoices, payments to families inclusive of allowance, clothing allowance etc. with required documentation.
- Submits foster care openings to DSS for referrals and placements.
- Documents direct client interactions, service development, and referrals in accordance with agency requirements. Maintains data for the foster care team.
- Ensures files for children and families are maintained in compliance with all regulations, accreditation and agency policies. This is inclusive of internal file audits completed on a regular schedule under the oversight of the foster care and quality leadership.
- Maintains the after hours call schedule under the supervision of the Foster Care Leadership.
- Provides services performed under supervisory guidance and participates in bi-weekly supervision.
- Works effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Maintains other duties assigned
Specific Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in foster care or family services. This position requires an understanding of foster care to successfully support staff, children/youth, and families.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must adhere to agency guidelines/policies, state guidelines/standards per regulatory requirements, and ethical standards of the agency, regulations and accreditation.
- Must provide excellence in service delivery, practice consistent/detailed documentation, and maintain positive working relationships with supervisor and coworkers.
- Must be able to provide services to the team in a timely, accurate manner with strong customer service focus.
- Must be able to complete referral, matching and administrative processes for the position.
- Requires excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must reflect sensitivity and responsiveness to client needs and to cultural differences present in the agency’s service population.
- Ability to express Ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
