General Summary: This non-exempt role is responsible for providing clinical support within clinical operations. This full-time position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling up to 40 hours.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary contact for site managers when not on-site.
2. Ensure safe and efficient patient care while maintaining compliance with practice parameters.
3. Collaborate with all clinical staff to develop, implement, and promote policies and procedures and ensure continuity of patient care.
4. Work with clinical staff to enhance operational efficiencies.
5. Assist in the training of new employees.
6. Provide clinical support across all areas of clinical operations.
7. Ensure that all outstanding signed/executed IVR orders are sent to and received by vaccine production.
8. Guarantee that data share imports are processed at least one business day before patient appointments.
9. Maintain established par levels of equipment and supplies, submitting inventory requests to the Site Manager promptly.
10. Communicate equipment issues, medication expirations, and supply needs to the Site Manager; manage all equipment related to Special Procedures (e.g., Refrigerator, Rhinoscopy, Treadmill).
11. Ensure all forms, patient education materials, medications, and clinical supplies for all clinical procedures are CAAC approved and up to date.
12. Adhere to all quality assurance policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control.
13. Use work time effectively by completing clinical tasks, assisting with triage, calling patients for lab and/or radiology results, managing prior authorization paperwork for medication approvals, supporting team members, cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ensuring the office is prepared for efficient operation.
14. Obtain patient consent for care while ensuring confidentiality. Collect and document health history, chief complaints, vital signs, health risk factors, and assess disease conditions. Provide patient care according to practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state regulations.
15. Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administer medications, and monitor/document treatment progress and patient responses. Delegate tasks as permitted by the Nurse Practice Act and consult with physicians and other healthcare providers to resolve issues. Educate patients and families on health status, maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
16. Record patient assessments and interventions using established medical record forms and automated systems.
17. Participate in multidisciplinary teams aimed at enhancing patient care processes and outcomes. Track quality assurance data and monitor acute and chronic care management.
18. Facilitate the following patient services: Food/Medication/Exercise Challenges, Medication Desensitization, Oral Immunotherapy, Skin Testing, Patient Triaging.
19. Work with the Special Procedures Manager on the management of medications, foods, and supplies required for Challenges/Desensitization and oral immunotherapy.
20. Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education: RN. Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Experience: Minimum one year of professional nursing experience. Clinic experience preferred.
Other Requirements: Current state registered nurse license. Current BLS certificate.
