What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead - Mon-Fri position at Carolina Beverage?
Summary: The Warehouse Lead oversees forklift operations on the warehouse floor to ensure employee’s are operating in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. Assist supervisor and office staff with day to day tasks. Coordinate special requests, oversee special projects. Enable effective communication between each day shift supervisor to help bridge the gap between each shift’s staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Oversee and manage forklift operators’ workload to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency of employees (including enforcing policies)
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to load & unload trucks
- Accurate stock rotation
- Documentation of damaged products
- Create Bill of Ladings
- Researching and/or correcting discrepancies on bills of lading or transfer sheets
- Attention to detail concerning lot codes, item numbers, and descriptions
- Cycle counts of product
- Rework of damaged product and cleanliness of equipment/warehouse floor
- Quality assurance of all products
- Computer literacy is required
- WMS/SAP experience preferred
- Process inbound/outbound loads through warehouse management system
- Tag/count finished goods & material
- Create/send daily shift reports
- Work alongside supervisors, dock coordinators, and inventory analysts, warehouse staff, and other company departments
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma: 2 year associate degree preferred
- 3 years experience in warehouse/inventory management
- Computer Literacy and Capability is required, ie. Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, and web browser proficiency
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be detailed orientated, strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong problem solving skills
- Formal Inventory and Management skills or certification
