What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Coach - CCFC Youth position at Carolina Core FC Youth?
Carolina Core FC Youth is actively seeking dedicated and experienced Staff Coaches for both the boys' and girls' programs for the 2025-2026 competitive season. The positions are based out of the North Carolina Triad region, and will serve our Youth Club and Junior Academy Programs.
Carolina Core FC Youth offers a comprehensive range of soccer programming, including elite travel team training, camps, clinics, leagues, and collegiate showcases locally, regionally, and nationally. We are seeking coaches who are passionate about developing young athletes and have the knowledge and experience to shape players at the elite youth level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Player Development: Foster a positive and supportive environment for the development of young athletes. Focus on the technical, tactical, physical, and mental growth of players to help them reach their full potential.
- Coaching and Training: Plan, organize, and lead engaging training sessions that align with the club’s coaching methodology and philosophy. Develop training programs tailored to individual skill levels and player progression.
- Match Preparation: Ensure players are prepared for competitive matches, both tactically and mentally. Attend matches, providing feedback and guidance during game situations.
- Player Evaluation: Conduct regular player assessments and evaluations. Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with the coaching staff to create individualized development plans (IDPs) and tailored training.
- Communication: Maintain open, transparent communication with players, parents, and club leadership. Address concerns and provide updates on player progress and team objectives.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date on the latest coaching techniques, trends, and methodologies. Implement innovative practices to enhance the performance of the Elite Program.
- Leadership: Lead by example with professionalism, sportsmanship, and a strong work ethic. Serve as a role model for young athletes both on and off the field.
- Player Recruitment: Assist in identifying and recruiting talented players to strengthen our teams.
- Technological Proficiency: Ability to analyze match footage, create highlight reels, and use PlayMetrics software for training and recruitment purposes.
Qualifications:
- Coaching License: Preferred USSF “D” license / equivalent (e.g., UEFA, USC), or higher. Willing to gain licenses.
- Coaching Experience: Prefer proven coaching experience with a successful track record. Willing to gain experiences and coaching licenses.
- Youth Soccer Knowledge: Understanding of the youth soccer landscape
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to Player Development: Passionate about fostering the development of young athletes and committed to the club’s values.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with coaching staff, parents, and players.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and comply with club and league policies.
- Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
