Expectation of Employee
Foster an athletic culture that aligns with and supports the broader values and mission of the school while contributing to the academic and athletic development of student athletes and promoting positive engagement within the school, community, and beyond.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in developing and upholding athletic vision, mission statement and program philosophy while cultivating relationships with the CDS/NCISAA community.- Deal directly with the CDS community when questions, comments or concerns arise, including but not limited to teachers, staff, parents, students and alumni.
- Assist in the development of effective strategies that shape and align the overall athletic culture.
- Develop strategies and marketing initiatives to increase student and staff participation in athletic programs and events.
- Develop and track key program metrics to measure performance and success of athletic programs, sports teams and student and fan experience.
- Enhance spectator experiences by deploying entertainment strategies that ensure an engaging and welcoming space.
- Serve as an athletic advisor to monitor student academic performance and assist Division Heads, Grade Deans, academic advisors, and Dean of Students in developing long-term academic improvement solutions.
- Assist the Athletic Director with performance management/evaluations of coaches and team performance.
- Manage student athlete recruiting by serving as the point-of contact for college coaches and the families of student athletes.
- Manage, organize and serve as the point-of-contact for athletic program film exchange.
- Coordinate, manage, organize, catalog and assist in the creation of player recruiting highlight videos.
- Coordinate and manage the work of student interns and volunteers in the athletic program.
- Coordinate and manage service opportunities for athletic teams.
- Assist in executing strategies and initiatives to grow relationships with athletic alumni.
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Communications Department to promote athletic messages, culture and events to the school community, CDS families and the larger public.
- Plan, organize and manage athletic events and activities across various sports including camps, tournaments, sport-specific jamborees and athletic developmental sports programs.

Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate. Other duties outside this description may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required.- 2-3 years of relevant experience with demonstrated success in leading and managing athletic programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and to exercise judgement and discretion.
- Commitment to making an impact through work as a member of a diverse community.
Skills
Must be passionate about working with people, including student athletes.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technological expertise including not limited to Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude with strong organizational skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Must be able to demonstrate the unique ability to remain flexible while staying focused on the task(s) at hand.
- Ability to multitask.
