Position Summary:
The Clinic Floor Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining an environment of patient-focused care while managing efficient coverage and workflow on the floor. This position will support the training of new clinic staff while providing consistent, core value clinical guidance to all clinic staff throughout the day. Responsibilities/Tasks:
· Comprehensive Clinic Learning: -Engage in a comprehensive learning process to understand all aspects of the clinic as directed by the Director of Operations.
· Team Leadership: -Develop and manage clinical staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage. Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to clinical staff.
· Cross Training of Employees: -Identify opportunities for cross-training clinical staff in various roles, including Clinic Assistant 1 & 2 duties, Chart Prep, Nurse Calls, CT’s and injections, to enhance flexibility and proficiency within the department. -Monitor the progress and effectiveness of cross-training initiatives and adjust as needed. Participate in clinical onboarding of new Physicians and Physician Assistants.
· Clinical Staff Progress Reports: -Ensure that all new clinical staff complete training progress reports for preparedness to work on the floor. Maintain a system for monitoring the progress of clinical staff, including those undergoing cross training in various clinic aspects, and any new policies and procedures.
· Equipment Repair and Maintenance: -Oversee the maintenance, repair and servicing of clinical equipment and machinery. -Collaborate with the equipment vendors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient equipment maintenance and repair
· Supplies Management: -Coordinate the ordering and inventory management of clinical supplies and materials for all locations including medications, device inventory, and supply expiration dates. Monitor supply level and ensure that essential supplies are adequately stocked to support clinical operations at all locations.
· Physician Relationship Building: -Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with the physicians and other healthcare providers. -Schedule and conduct meetings with the physicians as needed to address clinical issues, exchange insights and enhance collaboration.
· Clinical Operations Oversight: -Oversee and coordinate clinical operations in all clinical areas, including the Hickory, Lincolnton, and Morganton Clinics. This will include weekly scheduling of all staff and visiting satellite locations monthly. Ensure efficient workflow, patient care consistency and adhere to our protocols and standards. The Clinic Floor Manager will remain active on the clinic floor in any areas, daily if needed. Ensure staff completion of all daily, weekly, and monthly duties.
· Patient engagement: -Foster a patient-centered environment by ensuring effective communication, responsiveness to patient needs, and resolution of concerns. -Promote patient education and involvement in their care plans.
· Emergency Response and Preparedness: -Lead clinical team during emergencies and coordinate quarterly training for Code Orange.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that clinical operations adhere to all applicable laws and regulations for HIPAA and OSHA. -Conduct regular audits, checks chemical expirations, SDS sheets, OSHA checklist and update hazardous labels.
· Communication/Professionalism: Build a cohesive, supportive relationship with Administration to support and accomplish the company’s values and mission with patient care being a top priority. Maintain regular communication with the Director or Operations, Human Resources, CEO, CIO, and Physicians to provide updates on clinical performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Clinic Floor Manager Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
1. Working knowledge of medical terminology.
2. Working knowledge of current OSHA and blood borne pathogen regulations.
3. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage several tasks simultaneously.

Physical Environment/Requirements:
- Normal working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday; some incidences of work beyond the normal business hours should be expected based on patient and departmental demand.
- Professional medical office setting without significant variation in temperature or lighting.
- Performance of basic physical functions of finger dexterity, grasping, clearly understood speaking, hearing, sight (far and near to include data, figures, and computer equipment), and repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time, and occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.
- Travel to satellite locations
Education/Experience:
· Clinic Assistant experience a must, prior medical management background a plus.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· Aptitude for resolving issues and conflicts that disrupt workflow as they occur.
· In-depth knowledge of policies and regulations in the clinical field.
