This national law firm is expanding its Charleston, SC office with an experienced business litigation attorney to lead the local litigation practice. Their team is skilled and at the forefront of business litigation and transactional law as a full-service law firm. The areas of practice include all areas of business and commercial litigation, general corporate law including advising start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation and structuring, commercial transactions, serving as outside general counsel, and more.
Sample Job Responsibilities :
- Handling litigation from intake through trial with minimal supervision
- Formulate and develop case strategy, advise clients on risk mitigation and pre-suit resolution options
- Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, motions, and memorandum
- Guide clients through the case process
- Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports, and affidavits
- Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Consistent communication with their team and clients
- Other tasks as necessary
