What will you do?
The Clinical Trainer will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our clinical staff (clinicians, therapists, counselors, and support personnel). This position is designed to ensure that our staff are well equipped to provide high-quality mental health services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mental health and possess strong clinical expertise and excellent communication skills for staff development and clinical education.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or similar role in good standing with relevant state licensing board.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in behavioral health or mental health setting, with a strong foundation in providing therapy, counseling, and clinical interventions.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs, workshops, or educational seminars, preferably in a healthcare or mental health setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including clinicians, support staff, and organizational leadership.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills, with expertise in evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, lifelong learning, and continuous improvement in clinical practice and training delivery.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A willingness to travel to multiple locations as needed for training delivery and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing clinical supervision or consultation to other mental health professionals.
- Certification or specialized training in specific therapeutic approaches or treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
- Experience working with diverse populations and addressing issues related to cultural competence and equity in mental health care.
- Develop comprehensive training curricula and materials for behavioral health staff, covering a range of clinical topics, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars on clinical topics such as assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and therapeutic interventions.
- Provide hands-on coaching, guidance, and support to staff in applying clinical skills and interventions effectively in their practice.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to assess training needs, identify areas for skill development, and tailor training programs to meet organizational goals and objectives.
- Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of behavioral health, and integrate this knowledge into training content and delivery.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, performance assessments, and outcome measures, and make continuous improvements as needed.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to behavioral health staff, providing ongoing support, consultation, and clinical supervision as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and participant feedback, and prepare reports for management as required.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards of practice, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Provide support and guidance to participants during and after training sessions, fostering a safe space for open discussion and continued learning.
- Customize training programs based on the unique requirements and goals of different organizations or groups.
