Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join our team at Carolinas Fertility Institute in Charlotte.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in women's health, specifically in OB/GYN and Labor & Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract patient charts
- Clean and set up rooms between patients
- Assist with blood draws and take patient vitals
- Room patients and chaperone during exams and procedures
- Assist providers with medical procedures and prepare instruments for autoclaving
- Open charts and flow sheets in our electronic health record (EHR) system
- Enter lab orders and IUI notes into the EHR system
- Verify accuracy of patient information and ensure all relevant documents are attached to the chart
- Work as a medical scribe when needed
- Pack biopsies and samples for shipment
- Scan CMA paperwork and assist with answering incoming calls and returning patient phone calls and emails
Requirements
- Completion of a CMA course and active certification as a medical assistant or RMA
- At least 1 year of experience in blood drawing, with phlebotomy certification preferred
- Associate's degree required
- 1-2 years of experience in women's health (OB/GYN) preferred
- Phlebotomy experience required
- BLS certification required

Working Hours
This is a full-time position requiring an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
