What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Patient Representative position at Carolinas Vision Group?
Are you the one? We have an amazing eye care team in our Ballantyne and Rea Farms offices and our success and growth is in large part due to our patients referring their friends, family and co-workers to us. We are looking for the next addition to our group and we want them to be exceptional. A lot of experience at a front desk or call center does not count for much if you do not really care about what you are doing. We are looking for someone who can smile in person as well as over the phone. They are calm and cool when the office is busy; organized and purposeful when there is down time. This person works well with others and believes in doing something bigger than themselves as a team.
Of course there are some requirements for the position that we need to talk about. How do you match up?
Opening and closing the front desk/reception area each day
Answering phones - we prefer to have the phone answered by one of our team members by the third ring.
Keeping the schedule full on the days we are in the office so that we are doing our best job for patients.
Receiving patients with a warm greeting as they enter the practice.
Utilizing OfficeMate computer program to enter patient data, schedule patients, verify insurances benefits/eligibility, collect deductibles and co-pays, discussing payments/fees, keeping appointment book filled.
Triage of patient reception area - Making sure they are comfortable, informed about any kinks in the schedule and acknowledged.
