CaroMont Health is hiring a Temporary (up to 6 months) Athletic Trainer to work Varied Afternoon/ Evening Hour Shifts within our Sports Medicine Outreach team through CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC!
*This position has No On-Site Clinical Based Hours*
Athletic Trainer Roles and Responsibilities:
- To coordinate and provide sports medicine services in the community, schools and therapy clinics.
- Performs a wide variety of athletic training evaluation and procedures in the care and treatment athletes.
- Reports to Sports Medicine Coordinator.
- Coordinates and works closely with schools officials including Athletic Director, Coaches,
- CaroMont Health Sports Medicine Coordinator, Director of Rehab Services and Service Line Director to provide Sports Medicine Services and program development and growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university.
- NCBATE licensure as well as NATA Board of Certification required.
- One year experience required; traveler experience preferred.
- Cannot be a Full Time or Part Time CaroMont Employee.
- Considerable knowledge of physical therapy and sports medicine terminology, procedures, and techniques.
- Thorough skill in performing athletic training procedures.
- Ability to deal tactfully with family members, athletes, coaches, school employees, physicians, community and hospital personnel.
- Considerable judgment required in working with athletes and performing treatments.
- Required BLS Certification.
