Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of our hotel and condominium facilities. This individual will oversee the daily maintenance activities, provide leadership to the maintenance staff, and ensure the highest level of property upkeep and guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate must have a strong , painting, drywall, and general repairs. Previous supervisory experience in hotel, apartment, or hospitality maintenance is required. This role demands a proactive, hands-on leader who excels in team management, problem-solving, and guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Engineering with projects, planning, and overall maintenance operations.
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Assign and oversee daily work orders and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and operations.
- Perform expert-level maintenance and repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, painting, drywall, and carpentry as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
- Work closely with other departments, including housekeeping and front desk, to resolve maintenance-related issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient maintenance solutions.
- Report and recommend major repairs or capital improvements to management.
- Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating maintenance staff.
- Foster a team-oriented work environment that promotes professionalism, accountability, and a guest-first mentality.
- Run dispatch calls in the summer, ensuring quick response to guest and operational maintenance requests.
Qualifications
- Supervisory Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a maintenance leadership role within a hotel, resort, apartment complex, or similar setting.
- Technical Skills: Strong expertise in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, painting, drywall repair, and carpentry.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to train, mentor, and oversee a team of maintenance professionals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with guests, employees, and management.
- Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Certifications (Preferred): HVAC Certification, Plumbing License, Electrical Certification.
