We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Secretary/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, and providing administrative support. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Quicken.
- Prepare and process journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation and assist with monthly closings.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payment to employees.
- Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and reports.
- Handle tax preparation tasks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining filing systems.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Proficiency in financial software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Quicken is preferred.
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax preparation is a plus.
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable but not mandatory.
