Redline Powersports Group is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team at our Myrtle Beach, SC dealership. Our dealership group is based in Myrtle Beach, SC, and we proudly serve locations in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. We are a growing company focused on developing new talent.
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions, including maintaining accurate records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and intercompany transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You will assist in preparing financial reports and ensure that financial processes are streamlined and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
Operational
- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts and ensure the timely, accurate processing of accounting entries.
- Ensure accuracy of physical inventory and reported results, investigating discrepancies between the book and physical adjustments.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support to the Controller during the budgeting process.
- Manage bookkeeping for the management company, including overseeing intercompany transactions and ensuring accurate allocations between entities.
Financial Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the Controller with the preparation of regular management reporting.
- Provide key data and insights to leadership regarding the company’s financial performance.
Internal Controls
- Assist in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial processes and documentation.
- Contribute to maintaining and enhancing accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing efficient accounting systems.
Other
- Assist with local, state, and federal tax compliance (including payroll, property, and sales tax).
- Support in the preparation of regulatory filings.
- Assist with maintaining financial records for debt covenants and other necessary reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with intercompany transactions and allocations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
