Job Summary
We are seeking a hard-working, motivated, and compassionate Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. This position is essential in ensuring smooth patient care operations and supporting Dr. Glaser-Carpenter in delivering high-quality services to our patients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, take initiative, and possess a warm and inclusive demeanor. You will be an integral part of our patient care team, assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks while maintaining a friendly and supportive environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet and check in patients in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples from patients with precision and care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) for patients as part of their intake process.
- Administrative Support: Assist with faxing, scanning, and other clerical duties as needed.
- Supply Management: Order medical and office supplies, ensuring that the clinic is adequately stocked.
- General Assistance: Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient patient care, including assisting in basic medical procedures when required.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant (or equivalent experience).
- Basic medical knowledge and understanding of office practices.
- Strong computer skills with familiarity with medical software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on kindness, inclusivity, and empathy for all patients.
- Health-conscious and motivated to contribute to the wellness of the clinic and its patients.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Schedule & Hours
This is a part-time position with flexible hours based on patient and team schedules. The schedule skeleton can be adjusted based on your needs. Current hours are approximately as follows:
- Monday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Tuesday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Thursday: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
