What will you do? Carpool is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Pricing Analyst to develop and implement a comprehensive pricing strategy for our vehicle logistics services. In this role, you will leverage your deep understanding of transportation and logistics to drive strategic pricing decisions that ensure our services are competitive, profitable, and aligned with market dynamics. You will be responsible for analyzing both internal data and market trends to optimize pricing across our platform.

Responsibilities:

• Pricing Strategy Development: Design and implement dynamic pricing strategies for our vehicle logistics services, optimizing for competitiveness and profitability.
• Pricing Management: Provide spot market and RFP pricing guidance. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies, adjusting as needed.
• Document Pricing Success: Collaborate with sales, operations, and account management to document pricing activity to analyze win/loss activity and past pricing performance.
• Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze internal databases, historical performance data, and market trends to derive insights that inform pricing decisions.
• Competitive Benchmarking: Continuously monitor and assess the competitive landscape to ensure Carpool’s pricing remains competitive and aligned with industry standards.
• Forecasting & Reporting: Develop pricing forecasts, conduct scenario modeling, and prepare actionable reports to share insights. Utilize MySQL reporting to extract, analyze, and present data related to pricing performance.
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with sales and technology teams to align pricing models with business strategies and customer requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry changes, market trends, and emerging pricing models to refine and innovate Carpool’s pricing approach for growth and scalability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in pricing analysis, preferably within transportation, logistics, or a related tech-driven industry.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, or similar) to interpret large datasets and draw actionable insights.
• Deep understanding of transportation and logistics, including cost structures, shipping models, and pricing strategies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication skills to present complex pricing strategies and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with transportation management software (TMS) or similar platforms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment and thrive under pressure.
