Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions within Carr Workplaces, supporting the company’s coworking and property management centers. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the company’s financial health and compliance by handling daily accounting operations and assisting with financial planning and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze financial information for assigned coworking centers and/or property management buildings to prepare monthly financial statements. This includes maintaining general ledger accounts, reconcilie balances, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly work papers and account reconciliations which support the financial activities and balances reflective in General Ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the centers’ budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Monitor and approve expenses and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Working alongside with the operating department to analyze business operations and financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Track and manage the center’s fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.
- Prepare and file tax reports, including business licenses, personal property and sales tax filings.
- Maintain and reconcile intercompany accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper documkentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices.
- Special projects, as assigned. Additional tasks as required.
- Set-up new vendors for accountpable, reachout to vendors and request W-9 if not already in the system.
- Monthly call with center’s general manager to answer any questions they may have, communicate on regular basis and provide support for assigned centers staff.
- Support accountpayble for assigned centers and communicate to GM for any missing invoices.
- Communicate regularly with billing team to disscuse missing unbilled revenue and reconcile AR on monthly basis.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the coworking, hospitality, or real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, NexusPayable, etc)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial team members

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 incentive/bonus benefits.
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
