Director of Property Management

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of property management practices. This role requires effective communication and negotiation abilities, as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of property operations, including maintenance, leasing, and tenant relations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Section 8 guidelines.
• Utilize property management software such as Appfolio for efficient operations and record-keeping.
• Negotiate lease agreements and renewals while maintaining positive relationships with tenants.
• Address tenant concerns promptly through effective conflict management strategies.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure high standards of maintenance and safety.
• Oversee financial management tasks including budgeting, rent collection, and expense tracking.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and improvements in a timely manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service by being responsive to tenant inquiries via phone etiquette and other communication channels.

Skills

• Proficiency in property management software such as OneSite and Yardi is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage lease agreements and tenant relations.
• Excellent conflict management abilities to resolve disputes amicably.
• Knowledge of LIHTC regulations and Section 8 housing programs is a plus.
• Legal administrative skills for handling documentation related to property management.
• Exceptional customer service skills to enhance resident satisfaction.
• Sales acumen to effectively market properties and attract new tenants.
