Controller

Renowned global distributor of classic British car parts, celebrated for their commitment to excellence and trusted by enthusiasts worldwide is seeking an experienced Controller to manage its finance department, reporting directly to the CFO. This strategic role involves overseeing all accounting operations, providing financial leadership, and serving as a key advisor to the executive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial decisions and cost accounting initiatives
• Develop and maintain robust cash forecasting models and financial planning strategies
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage regulatory compliance
• Oversee the annual budgeting process and ongoing budget management
• Implement and optimize accounting processes and controls
• Develop and track key financial performance metrics
• Manage tax planning and compliance reporting
• Build and mentor high-performing accounting teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP principles and international finance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to various stakeholders
• Proven experience in project management and process improvement
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and technology systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in an office environment with prolonged periods at a desk
• Proficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for computer work
• Capable of moving throughout the office environment
