Vibrant Historic 23 room Inn in downtown looking for an experienced Innkeeper - Floater Multi-tasker. Voted the Best B&B in St. Augustine 6 years in a row and runner up 2 years in a row!
Looking for just the right polished fit for our tiny yet mighty team - High energy, Fun and Fast Paced work place.
Full-time, 40 hours a week, depending on the season and occupancy of the inn. Right hand person to the General Manager.
Associate College Degree or higher preferred.
Smoking is not permitted on premises.
Must submit to a background check.
Must currently live within 25 miles of downtown St. Augustine.
Must have your own reliable car. Downtown parking garage permit is provided as an added employee benefit.
The ideal person has, hospitality experience, front desk hotel, commercial housekeeping, commercial cooking, social media experience, and in that order. Must have extreme attention to detail. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn Resnexus Reservation Software quickly a plus. Proficiency in writing and grammar is a must.
Housekeeping / Laundry experience a plus as per industry standard need to turn a room in 35 minutes and freshen a room in 15 minutes. Thorough training is provided.
Social Media Business expertise in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube, Pinterest and Google Business is a plus.
Candidates must: Be available and FLEXIBLE, 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 7am-7pm. All Weekends=Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays and all Holidays are required.
Typical work week is 5 days per week.
Typical shifts start between 7:00am to 12:00pm and end 3:00pm to 6:00pm:
Innkeeper starts out in kitchen and housekeeping, if needed, cleaning rooms and doing laundry then transitioning to the Front Desk for reservations, check-ins, concierge orientations, and social media marketing. Innkeeper floats back to the laundry intermittently during the shift to fold as needed.
On occasion split days off do occur. Example of Split days off: Tuesday off & Thursday off. Scheduling all depends on the occupancy of the inn.
"Team Player" mentality and excellent guest service skills necessary for success. Personable Sunshine phone voice is a must.
Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
First 90 days probationary. $17.00-$18.00 per hour plus cash gratuities when helping out in housekeeping. (Can be up to $2 - $4 more hour with the cash gratuities depending on occupancy.)
After 90 day probationary period a $250.00 monthly stipend will be added to your first check of the month. At 6 months of employment a merit raise of 0-3% will be given.
