Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the manufacturing team; foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Oversee manufacturing operations, i.e., production scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and maintenance
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the performance of manufacturing operations; analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components; maintain relationships to support the needs of the manufacturing process
- Develop and manage the manufacturing budget with the operations finance team; monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Work closely with other departments, i.e., engineering, sales, finance, and business unit leadership to ensure alignment of manufacturing activities with overall business objectives
- Drive a culture of change and continuous improvement by applying lean concepts and tools
- Plan capacity and investments in equipment and people to support business growth
- Bachelor's degree
- 8 years of experience in manufacturing
- 2 years of experience in leadership/people management
- 1 years of experience in motivating inspire teams to achieve goals or KPIs
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering, manufacturing, or business
- Electronics or building automation industry experience
- Negotiating skills with major supply agreements
- Leading cross-functional and multi-organizational teams
- Understanding of the building of effective supplier and logistics networks
- Business acumen and financial skills i.e., budget management and financial analysis
- Process improvement methodologies i.e., Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing operations environment
