About This Role
The Senior Manager, Business Development and Joint Ventures supports the long-range vision and strategy for Carrier Corporation by monitoring the internal and external environment for financial growth opportunities. The role manages business development and joint venture efforts including mergers and acquisitions and utilizes financial and market analysis as a key tool to drive strategy and partnership decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitors and evaluates the external environment for financial growth opportunities.
- Establishes strategic business development initiatives that drive corporate growth through product expansion and alliances and leads customer relations management.
- Works with business units to implement business development strategy into specific initiatives and to drive market segmentation initiatives.
- Analyzes information and develops proposals. Conducts financial analyses of prospective business targets. Leads the planning and preparation of business proposals.
- Manages all activities related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint venture process.
- Performs financial analysis of acquisition candidates. Creates strategy for and leads negotiations. Conducts due diligence activities.
- Advises on financial modeling and the synthesis of trend data and provides advice on the external environment for growth opportunities.
- Establishes strategy to drive implementation of initiatives, financial growth opportunities and business development efforts.
- Manages network of relationships with key current and potential customers to achieve shared goals and lead customer relations management.
- Consults with the executive leadership team to drive strategy and partnership decisions.
- Guides coordination with business units to implement business development strategy.
- Guides the broad planning and preparation of complex business proposals and makes recommendations to senior management to drive strategic decision making.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis
- Master’s degree in business administration
- Ability to communicate for impact and influence business decisions with executive leadership.
- Strong problem-solving experience using investigation and analytics skills to directly impact strategy and results.
- A recognized expert in financial analysis and thought leadership in business development with a minimum of 7 years of experience in these focus areas
