About this position
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, packaging and preservation, inventory control, logistics, planning, training, employee performance evaluations and problem solving in a warehouse operations environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage warehouse inventory and keep records of the inventory.
- Lead clerical team of indirect support team members; including but not limited to inventory, logistics, planning etc.
- Complete daily safety inspections.
- Track down units with quality issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Monitor yard trailer movement and radio communication.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend measures to improve production.
- Partner with union leadership to quickly resolve issues and drive a high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and safety rules and regulations.
- Effectively manage hourly associates and achieve employee engagement objectives.
- Use Cx (Carrier Excellence) tools to improve production processes and correct deficiencies as they occur.
- Ensure EH&S standards and administrative procedures are followed.
- Must be able to work in the 2nd shift with weekends and overtime as required.
