What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Processor, Reverse Mortgage position at Carrington?

Our Loan Processor, Reverse Mortgage is responsible for providing quality loan processing, reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards and ensuring completeness of submission. Obtains necessary information (i.e., loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target base pay is $31.25 per hour, plus monthly incentive plan.
What you’ll do:
- Receives and review loans submissions, monitors incoming documents, and verifies data collected by Loan Officers or agents.
- Provide best in class customer service to ensuring customers are able to make an informed decision.
- Obtains necessary information (i.e., loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files.
- Maintains open files, orders appraisals, sends verifications, and acquires documentation related to Borrower and property.
- Ensures the quality and compliance of work with Company policies, procedures, and lender guidelines.
- Ensures that all loans are processed to meet Company and lending guidelines
What you’ll need:
- Current/ Recent reverse mortgage loan processing experience is required.
- Maintains highly confidential information in accordance with Company’s privacy policy concerning borrower’s information (concerning borrower’s confidential information)
- Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of all aspects of mortgage loan processing function and underwriting guidelines.
- Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong skill in the use of office machines such as computer, copiers, fax machines.
- Strong customer service skills.
