JOB OBJECTIVES (Purposes of the position):
To complete the detail and written work and to coordinate other matters essential to the
efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative supervisor
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Functions essential to attaining job objectives):
1. Obtain, gather, and organize pertinent data as needed, and put it into usable form
2. Prepare memos and correspondence
3. Maintain a regular filing system, as well as set of locked confidential files, and
process incoming correspondence as instructed
4. Place and receive telephone calls and record messages
5. Perform any bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific position
6. Maintain a schedule of appointments and make arrangements for conferences and
interviews
7. Welcome visitors and arrange for their comfort, and screen unexpected callers in
accordance with predetermined policy
8. Perform such other duties and tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may
be assigned from time to time
JOB STANDARDS (Minimum qualifications needed to perform essential job functions):
1. High School diploma or GED
2. Job experience and secretarial training
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate
and acceptable
