JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing essential support in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, with a primary focus on Total Rewards. This role works closely with the Total Rewards team to assist with HR functions related to payroll, benefits administration, employee engagement, and compliance. The HR Coordinator will assist in a variety of HR processes, including payroll backup, benefits transactional support, new hire onboarding, and maintaining HR records. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of HR systems, coordinating employee events, and supporting HR initiatives that enhance the employee experience. In addition to supporting daily HR operations, the HR Coordinator collaborates with the HR Director and other team members on projects that improve department efficiency and support organizational goals.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll & Benefits Support
- Assist with payroll processing and act as a backup for payroll-related tasks to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Provide transactional support for employee benefits programs, including health insurance, ancillary programs, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other benefits-related activities.
- Maintain Concentra program to ensure timely and accurate management of employee health assessments.
Employee Records & Compliance
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of employee records, perform periodic audits of HR files, and ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Assist with administering all appropriate onboarding and termination processes within HRIS and across other current systems.
Employee Engagement & Events
- Assist with creating and coordinating monthly employee engagement events to enhance workplace morale and team cohesion.
- Coordinate and plan HR department events, including quarterly outings and team-building activities. Participate in select CDE (Carroll Daniel Engineering) as needed.
- Assist with the planning and execution of company events throughout the year, contributing to a positive company culture.
- Conduct or assist with new employee onboarding and orientation to ensure smooth integration into the company.
- Manage the company store platform to ensure apparel is in stock and facilitate other duties relating to company store management.
HR Administrative, Clerical & Project Support
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR Department, ensuring smooth operation of daily activities.
- Respond to frequently asked questions from employees regarding standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. Refer more complex inquiries to senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintain open communication with employees to assist with internal matters and foster positive working relationships.
- Manage the uploading of new hire data into ERP system ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with the maintenance of HRIS systems for employee data management and other HR functions.
- Support the HR Director with various projects.
- Provide support for project-based functions within the Human Resources Department as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- The majority of work is completed in an office setting with intermittent sitting, standing, and walking. Periodic travel may occur.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- B.S. in Human Resources or related field preferred, or 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources
