Quest Site Solutions, a division of Carroll Daniel, provides site selection and incentive negotiation services for companies that are seeking a new location, a competitive expansion, or a consolidation. Our team performs location consulting services for manufacturing, distribution, and office/corporate headquarters projects. The services provided for our clients include in-depth research on search regions and candidate communities, detailed property and community evaluations, extensive labor market evaluations, site-specific financial analyses, and custom incentive negotiations.
Although Quest’s main focus is site selection for corporate clients, we also leverage our expertise and experience to assist economic development organizations in preparing for the challenges of attracting and retaining capital investment and employment. The majority of Quest’s economic development services are related to site development, primarily site readiness and site certification.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Analyst-level position researches and assists on both site selection and economic development projects. On site selection projects, responsibilities will include working on site and infrastructure assessments, demographic analysis, GIS mapping analysis, labor market evaluations, financial analysis, tax and incentive analysis, as well as considerable report writing and production. The Analyst will also be involved with economic development projects including site readiness programs, workforce studies, and strategic plans. The Analyst will maintain a variety of databases and support strategic research projects.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble and analyze large quantities of data to be adapted into key findings and strategic recommendations.
- Work with geographic databases and produce GIS maps and related spatial analytics.
- Assist in preparation of proposals, presentations, articles, and other materials.
- Provide support on property investigations, workforce analysis, and incentive negotiations for site selection projects.
- Provide support on economic development projects including site evaluations, workforce studies, and strategic plans.
- Assist in the creation of high-quality deliverables that present data and insights in a clear, effective, and efficient manner.
- Maintain positive professional relationships with new and existing clients.
- Liaise with data vendors to collect, implement, and maintain Quest’s datasets.
- Support special projects related to the ongoing performance of the business.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND/CAPABILITIES
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (particularly in business, economics, geography, planning, engineering, finance, accounting, or a related field).
- Proficiency in Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with analyzing quantitative data and familiarity with the research process.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a background and drug test.
- Work in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple projects with tight timelines.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND/CAPABILITIES
- Experience with labor analysis software (such as JobsEQ or Lightcast), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and/or design software (Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Experience, including internships, in economic development, real estate development, engineering, finance, logistics, or other related business.
- Experienced with research methods and with data analysis and manipulation, mostly through Excel.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The majority of work is in an office setting. This position may require occasional travel.
- This position will be based out of the Greenville, South Carolina office location.
