PURPOSE OF POSITION: To formulate effective engineering plans and controls for the orderly expansion of the system electric plant consistent with current and projected power demands.

REQUIRES:
- Require a high school diploma/equivalent.
- Require a Baccalaureate degree/equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Must be able to obtain the Professional Engineering registration within six years of assuming the position.
- Require at least one year of experience in electrical distribution, including the design, operation, and maintenance of a distribution system.
- Prefer experience in a rural electric system or in the utility industry.
- Require knowledge in line feed system locations, interpretation of system maps, NESC and RUS rules and regulations.
- Require excellent oral and written communication skills as well as organizing, planning and computer skills.
- Require ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work irregular hours for work-related and community meetings and outage restoration.
- Require the ability to obtain and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license and ITS certification.
- Require the successful pass of Cooperative’s employment post offer employment entrance examination and drug screen.
