What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Assistant position at Carson Plumbing & Mechanical, Inc?
Carson Plumbing and Mechanical Inc. is a northern Utah based company specializing in industrial and commercial plumbing. Our focus includes industrial piping, welding, and large government and private sector projects. We take pride in staying current with construction technology and are consistently integrating new advancements. Come work with us, we are hiring a project assistant to join our team.
Our project assistant will work very closely with the project manager and estimator. Their day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Answering phones.
- Answering emails.
- Utilize our construction software, Procore, to maintain documentation such as, logging RFI's, upload and update drawings, upload and update specifications, create and maintain pojrect directory, etc.
- Log RFI’s
- Create and record meeting minutes.
- Work with our estimator to generate submittals for new projects and see through approval.
- File invoices.
- Pull parts from our shop to send to job sites.
- Order office supplies.
Prior construction experience is not required but is preferred. We are looking for someone with the following qualifications/experience:
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in Gmail with the ability to manage a high volume of emails daily.
- Proficient in computer file management, ability to maintain organized and well-named files.
- Familiar with Excel, including functions like multiplication, table creation, and other fundamental operations.
- Eager to learn and become proficient in using our construction software, Procore.
Schedule:
The job will start at 20 hours per week. Depending on performance and workload, more hours may become available. Most weeks will be Monday – Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. However, depending on the week hours may change.
