Manager - Rehabilitation - Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY :
This is a full-time, exempt managerial position requiring hands-on patient care more than twenty (20) hours per week. In addition to patient care, the Rehabilitation manager is responsible for planning, organizing, leading and controlling all aspects of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy services. Maintains appropriate budget parameters within the Rehabilitation Department. Schedules staff to maintain productivity levels within current benchmarking standards. Responsible for compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation for a Critical Access Hospital and requirements for licensure by the State of Nevada.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum Education
- Must have graduated from accredited program for PT, OT, or ST.
- Master’s degree in physical, occupational, or speech therapy (or Bachelor’s degree with five years of management experience)
License Required
Maintain current and valid licensure with the State of Nevada.Certification Required
Maintain current BLS certification.Minimum Work Experience
Worked as a physical, occupational, or speech therapist in a hospital setting.Experience in supervisory, or administrative work in relation to a physical, occupational, or speech therapy clinic.Ability to communicate with employees, physicians, patients and administrative staff in a courteous and professional manner.POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Compliance
Maintains compliance with regulations governing hospitals and the rules of accrediting bodies by monitoring operations and initiating changes as needed.Implements and develops therapy specific treatment programs (PT, OT, SP).Prepares reports for administrative management and regulatory agencies.
Policies / Education
Implement administrative and hospital policies.Develop departmental policies and procedures to ensure departmental effectiveness.Participates in hospital / medical staff committee meetings as required.Monitors staff to adhere to licensing and mandatory education guidelines.Hospital Representation
Represents the hospital in a positive manner in the community.Attends Community events.Creates a positive atmosphere in his / her department.Patient Care
Coordinated efforts to integrate patient care and support services throughout the system to accommodate inpatients, swing bed residents and outpatients.Maintains appropriate departmental staffing levels to provide quality care as needed (discipline specific).BENEFITS : If you are scheduled to work part-time at least 20 hours per week and full-time at least 32 hours per week, you are eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
