What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis position at CarsonLynch Professional Search?
CarsonLynch has been engaged by a local, private-equity backed operation to fill an open leadership seat! This role will serve as a business partner to the CEO, CFO, as well as key leaders in operations.
They will be responsible for all FP&A and will also be heavily involved with acquisitions and integrations, as well as standardization of processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and forecasts that support strategic business goals.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with corporate objectives.
- Reporting and Analysis: Deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting on business performance, key metrics, and variance analyses.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to understand business needs, identify risks, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing FP&A team, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities.
- Technology and Tools: Leverage recently implemented financial systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy and accessibility.
- Board and Investor Reporting: Support the preparation of materials for board meetings, investor presentations, and other external reporting requirements.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Lead or contribute to special projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, or operational improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience, ideally with exposure to the Healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems & tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
