Director of FP&A

Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of FP&A to lead the financial strategy for their healthcare organization. This role will oversee a team of five analysts and work closely with Finance, Operations, HR, and Physician Leadership to develop compensation models, ensure compliance, and align financial planning with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Physician Compensation & Analytics
- Develop, analyze, and optimize physician compensation models (e.g., RVU-based, salary, hybrid structures).
- Partner with HR, Legal, and Physician Leadership to ensure compliance with Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and FMV requirements.
- Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive and sustainable compensation structures.
- Model financial impacts of incentive structures, productivity metrics, and compensation adjustments.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for physician compensation and related expenses.
- Support M&A and growth initiatives by assessing compensation impacts in new practice acquisitions.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reporting for senior leadership.
- Provide strategic financial insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five FP&A professionals.
- Implement best practices and automation to improve financial processes and reporting.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to C-suite and Board Members.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Experience: 8 years in FP&A, with healthcare industry and physician compensation experience required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, Hyperion, Workday Adaptive, or similar FP&A tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
