The? Controller ?is responsible for supporting and maintaining the financial wellness and integrity of the organization. This role will supervise individuals in the finance and accounting team, prepare reports for company leadership and develop standards and procedures for proper financial management.?The position will also partner with Shared Services and other departments as needed.
What youll do as a Controller :
- Manage quality month-end closing, oversee journal entries and GL account reconciliation, including the preparation of financial statements for several legal entities in the US and Canada, including working knowledge of foreign currency exchange
- Oversee loading of financial statements into corporate consolidation software for actual results, budget, and forecasts
- Be responsible for intercompany transactions and reporting
- Track promotions and allowances, as key user of the Exceedra trade spend software
- Ensure compliance with internal approval processes, implementing best practices for the business unit including financial and accounting policies, internal controls, contracts and procedures
- Assist with annual audit, providing documents and reports for income tax filings
