PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Clerical Assistant (CA) reports directly to the Mobile-Site Supervisor or Operations Coordinator. This position is responsible for establishing the first positive experience the donor receives when entering the Carter BloodCare Donor Center. The CA serves as a customer service representative and provides an affirming and gratifying experience to everyone who enters the facility. This position is also responsible for overseeing daily incoming/outgoing calls and performing donor look-up.
CA’s work closely with the donor center team to obtain budgeted collection goals, through recruiting, rescheduling, and conversion of donors. Effective communication in performing these functions is essential to help ensure a constant, uninterrupted donor-flow, and that the site’s collection goals are consistently met.
Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours
Qualifications
EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum of 1 year of Customer service experience, required

Minimum of 2 years of general work experience, preferably working with public, required

Minimum of 6 months of previous receptionist duties, preferred

Bilingual, Spanish speaking, preferred
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Basic computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, required

Displays excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to speak, hear, read, comprehend and clearly communicate (verbal and written)

Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage multiple projects/training, meet deadlines, use time efficiently, and prioritize work with strong attention to detail; Maintains exceptional organizational skills

Ability and willingness to work in a team environment; Self-motivated, positive individual who promotes “team work” qualities
