PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The primary responsibility of the Community and Diversity Engagement Specialist (CDES) is to develop and execute an outreach program with initiatives focused on expanding awareness of Carter BloodCare (CBC) in the Hispanic/Latino, African American/Black American, and other historically underrepresented communities in the blood donor base.
The CDES performs and coordinates a wide range of, such as helping create the strategic plan and organizing day-to-day operations. This position demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to quality healthcare, blood donation, multiculturalism, and community health. The CDES displays excellent customer service, acting as a key public-facing liaison and working closely with Donor Recruitment, Collections, Medical Services, Marketing, and Public Relations.
This position requires frequent work during evening and weekend hours and must be available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.
