PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Under the supervision of the Facilities & Fleet Supervisor East Texas, this position is primarily responsible for ensuring proper functioning of blood center vehicles and building equipment. Must be able to perform work of a fairly routine nature requiring a reasonable amount of judgment in performing the daily preventative maintenance, upkeep and repair of Carter BloodCares properties, fleet and equipment. Interaction is required with all blood center departments and vendors. This position is subject to on-call duties.
Regular full-time attendance is required during office hours.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
-
High School Diploma or GED preferred
EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum one year of building maintenance experience
-
1-2 years of vehicle maintenance experience preferred
-
General mechanical background preferred
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
-
Knowledge of the use of industry-related tools and equipment
-
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
-
Basic electrical/mechanical knowledge
-
Basic sheetrock repair, painting; minor carpentry preferred

Must maintain a valid Texas Drivers License; Commercial drivers license preferred

Must maintain driving record within acceptable limits set by Carter BloodCare (CBC) Vehicle Loss Control standard
