Carteret Community College (Morehead City, NC) is accepting applications to serve as a pool for future adjunct instructor needs. Individuals interested in adjunct (part-time) curriculum teaching positions may submit their application to this adjunct curriculum instructor pool. Positions are not benefit eligible. The candidate should have the ability to accommodate a flexible working schedule and limited travel within service area. Hourly rate of pay is per contact hour of instruction, and is the minimum hourly rate as outlined in the current fiscal year NC Community College State Aid Allocations and Budget Policies, currently ranging from $30.86 per contact hour (Vocational Diploma, Certificate, or Less), to $37.19 per contact hour (Doctoral degree). Applications will remain active for 9 months. This includes Arts & Sciences, Health Sciences, and Applied Sciences instructor positions.

Teaching and Learning :
- Teach courses assigned by the department chair and approved by the division dean.
- Design and implement instructional activities that are appropriate and meaningful.
- Adhere to the departmental course guidelines and ensure that content covers approved student learning outcomes.
- Electronically maintain and submit all required college records including attendance and grade reports, etc.
- Evaluate student performance using methods appropriate to the course.
- Measure and report required student learning outcomes.
- Assist students in receiving needed instructional resources.

Faculty standards shall be consistent with the standards established by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Knowledge and Skills : The candidate will possess teaching and administrative skills leading to this level of responsibility. Demonstration of skill in communication, organization, and managing multiple priorities; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, community groups, and others; and demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
