CHMC – Emergency Service Assistant – Full Time- Night Shift - 5 : 30a-6p – Requisition 8024
This is an 8 hour shift. If you start at 6 : 30a you will work until 2 : 30p, 7a-3, 8a-4, 10a-6 : 30p etc.
Pay Range : ($18.33-$24.24)
A Cook reviews menus and production sheets to determine the type and quantity of food to be prepared within nutritional guidelines. Responsibilities include : baking, roasting, broiling and steaming food as required for designated meal times; preparing and slicing meats, fish, and poultry in accordance with portion control guidelines; providing assistance on the tray line; maintaining cooking area in a sanitary and orderly manner; adhering to safe food handling; and performs similar or related duties as required.

EDUCATION : Required :
High school graduate or equivalent
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE :
Required :
Minimum one year prior food service experience in cooking
Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities
Knowledge of food and nutrition
Knowledge of proper food preparation techniques
Ability to multitask
Knowledge of knife skills
Preferred :
Minimum one year prior experience in institutional cooking
