THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Procurement Manager will:
- Manage and execute procurement strategies for indirect and capital purchasing, balancing tactical execution with strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving supplier qualification, development, and performance monitoring through KPIs and scorecards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement efforts with business needs, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with company policies.
- Develop supplier and category strategies to optimize procurement decisions, ensuring market competitiveness and value delivery.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement technology solutions that improve procurement efficiency and reduce manual processes (slow-moving inventory).
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through sourcing analysis, supplier negotiations, and process improvements.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The right candidate will have the ability to leverage strong time-management capabilities in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and time constraints. Your credentials ideally include:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a minimum of 5-7 years of purchasing, supply chain, and materials management experience.
- ISM or APICS certifications preferred
- 5–7 years of experience in procurement with a focus on both indirect and capital purchasing.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and supplier relationship management skills.
- Experience with ERP and MRP systems; familiarity with BaaN, IFS, or Maximo preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop procurement strategies and implement process improvements.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Strong ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and understand the audience.
