Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Help Desk Support Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to end-users, ensuring efficient resolution of issues related to IT infrastructure, software, and hardware. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot various operating systems, including Linux.
Duties
- Respond promptly to help desk requests via phone, email, or ticketing systems such as Remedy and Jira.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computer hardware, software applications, and network connectivity.
- Provide support for IT infrastructure components including Meraki devices and other networking equipment.
- Analyze user problems and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Document all interactions and resolutions in the help desk system for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of current technologies and best practices in software troubleshooting and IT support.
Experience
- Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) is essential.
- Experience with IT infrastructure components and troubleshooting techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and their functionality.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple tasks effectively.
