Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Collision Repair Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and communicating with customers, insurance companies, and technicians to ensure a smooth and timely repair process. Your ability to combine technical knowledge with excellent communication skills will help drive customer satisfaction and shop efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess damaged vehicles to determine repair needs
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using estimating software (CCC One preffered)
- Coordinate with technicians to verify damage and ensure estimate accuracy
- Work closely with insurance adjusters to gain approval for repairs
- Explain repair process, timelines, and estimates to customers in a clear and professional manner
- Schedule and follow up on repair progress to ensure timely completion
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, work orders, and customer communications
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in automotive or related field is a plus
- 2 years of experience in collision estimating or related automotive field
- Proficiency with estimating software (CCC One preferred)
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and terminology
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- I-CAR certification or equivalent
- Experience with DRP (Direct Repair Program) guidelines and procedures
- Knowledge of insurance claim processes
