CAS Constructors, located in Topeka Kansas has built a legacy of efficiency, reliability, safety and quality in municipal and industrial water/wastewater plant construction, rehab and service throughout the Midwest. In our 40 year history we have completed more than 450 projects and received numerous awards for both projects and safety.
We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager.
The individual selected will be responsible for the overall management of a project from inception to completion in order to ensure the clients requirements and expectations are met and the project is effectively and efficiently constructed.
Responsibilities:
- Review project estimates for completeness, accuracy, and realistic expectations of equipment selection and staffing requirements needed.
- Ensure daily logs, test reports, inspection reports and permits are maintained.
- Develop and ensure a detailed schedule to ensure milestones are met and develop and recommend solutions when issues arise.
- Review change orders and schedule them into the project timeline.
- Visits jobsites to develop and maintain positive and trusting working relationships with management, employees, subcontractors and clients.
- Challenge the project team to achieve results they may not think are possible.
- Regularly provide feedback to senior management regarding productivity, safety, quality, compliance, successes, issues and concerns among workers, subcontractors and clients.
- Models and reinforces safety as a top priority of the organization.
- Assist others to accomplish work of the organization even if it is outside the scope of regular duties.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field and 2-4 years of experience in field construction project management.
- Professional registrations, RE or AIS is a plus.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills needed to ensure clients are regularly updated and satisfied with project status.
- Ability to create, interpret and execute contracts.
- Extensive knowledge of cost account/reporting.
- Water/wastewater construction experience a plus..
- Frequent day travel. Occasionally overnight.
