Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Application Engineer located in Chesterland, OH. The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, software development, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and testing for data loggers and data acquisition hardware solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Support:
- Oversee and provide resolution for all technical issues related to CAS products and services.
- Support internal teams with product knowledge, troubleshooting, and system configuration.
- Provide hands-on engineering expertise for system integration projects, ensuring timely and quality completion.
- Lead the management of in-house product builds (kits, thermal buffers, custom cables, etc.).
- Act as the main technical point of contact for customers and sales channels.
Project and Team Management:
- Manage all internal and external activities related to systems integration.
- Assign and oversee technical tasks across employees and external contractors.
- Hire and manage technical staff and contractors as needed.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
Sales and Marketing Support
- Assist the sales team by providing technical insights, product demonstrations, and pre-sales support.
- Collaborate with marketing to create and update technical content, white papers, and website materials.
- Contribute to SEO and AdWords strategy for web visibility.
Business and Strategy Contributions:
- Research and recommend new product lines to expand CAS offerings.
- Participate in tradeshows and industry events to showcase CAS products.
- Work closely with the President to align engineering activities with business objectives.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in engineering, systems integration, or technical support.
- Prior experience managing a technical team is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical acumen.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with customer support, technical documentation, and product development.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, data loggers, or temperature monitoring solutions is a plus.
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
