We are looking for a motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee our RV Park, Inn and Cabin operations.
Key Responsibilities:
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the RV park, cabins, and inn to ensure smooth functioning of all aspects, including check-in/out processes, guest services, and facilities maintenance.
- Manage all accommodations, including RV sites, cabins, and inn rooms, ensuring cleanliness, upkeep, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate with staff to manage reservations, guest requests, and ensure availability aligns with peak occupancy periods.
- Monitor the condition of amenities like pools, common areas, playgrounds, and RV hookups to ensure everything is well-maintained and functional.
- Implement systems for monitoring and addressing any issues with infrastructure such as utilities (water, electric, sewer) for RV sites and cabins.
GUEST EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER RELATIONS:
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through responsive service, clean and well-maintained accommodations, and the resolution of any guest complaints or issues.
- Oversee customer communications, ensuring clarity in booking processes, check-in, and resolving inquiries.
- Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes customer loyalty and positive reviews.
- Organize and oversee guest activities or events to enhance their experience at the property.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
- Develop and manage the annual budget, including forecasting, revenue management, and cost controls to maximize profitability.
- Oversee pricing strategies, discounts, and promotions to attract new guests while maintaining profitability.
- Monitor financial reports, including revenue, expenses, occupancy rates, and labor costs.
- Control costs related to maintenance, staffing, and supplies without compromising guest satisfaction or safety.
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE & SAFETY:
- Ensure the physical upkeep of the RV park, cabins, and inn, coordinating regular maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee landscaping, utility hookups, and infrastructure to maintain safety and cleanliness throughout the property.
- Implement safety protocols to protect guests and staff, including regular inspections of fire safety systems, electrical systems, and health standards compliance.
- Address damage to units or property by guests and enforce policies related to damage recovery and security deposits.
STAFF MANAGEMENT:
- Lead and manage staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling for front desk, housekeeping, and guest services teams.
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure staff are aligned with operational goals and guest service expectations.
- Manage staff performance through regular feedback, goal-setting, and evaluations to ensure productivity and service standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and promote a positive, efficient working environment.
SALES & MARKETING:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies for attracting guests through online and offline channels, promoting seasonal offers, group bookings, and long-term stays.
- Establish partnerships with travel agencies, online booking platforms, and local businesses to increase occupancy and expand market reach.
- Monitor online reviews and social media feedback, ensuring the property maintains a positive reputation and addressing any negative feedback promptly.
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:
- Ensure the RV park, cabins, and inn are compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning, health codes, and environmental regulations.
- Oversee licensing requirements and inspections related to the business, particularly for accommodations and RV services.
- Stay updated on relevant laws governing campground and lodging operations, including safety protocols for campfires, water systems, and waste disposal.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS & EVENTS:
- Build strong relationships with the local community, businesses, and tourism organizations to foster a sense of community and drive local partnerships
- Plan and oversee community events or activities for guests, such as outdoor barbecues, holiday events, or family-friendly programs to enhance the guest experience and increase repeat bookings.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in managing RV parks, campgrounds, hotels, or similar hospitality settings.
- Experience managing staff, finances, and property maintenance in a hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and reservation systems for campgrounds and lodging.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and legal regulations related to RV parks and lodging operations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- This position requires General Manager to reside onsite on the Casa de Fruta property, at housing designated by Casa de Fruta executive staff.
- Hours: Full-time, with flexibility required to meet business needs, especially during peak seasons, holidays, and weekends.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and oversee inspections of the property, including outdoor facilities and RV sites.

HEALTH INSURANCE - Regular full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our Medical, Dental and Vision plans the first of the month following 60-days of employment in full-time status. We also offer various supplemental insurance programs to meet your specific needs.
PAID TIME OFF (PTO) – Full-time non-exempt employees begin accruing PTO at a rate of one week for the first year of employment, which can be used after 90 days of employment (.01925 hours per regular hour worked). The accrual rate increases to two weeks after two years of employment (.0385 hours per regular hour worked).
PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
PAID SICK LEAVE (PSL) - Part-time and Seasonal employees begin accruing PSL at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked. Employees cannot use PSL until after their 90 days of employment. Part-time employees may use up to 24 hours PSL per year, and cannot accrue more than 48 hours at any given time.
