What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fine Dining Server/Bartender position at Casa do Brasil?
In this role you will:
- Provide excellent service to customers at the bar and supporting Servers in providing
service of beverages from the bar to customers seated at tables.
- Read and listen to customers to determine beverage preferences, make recommendations, and take orders.
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their contents and preparation methods in order to
accurately respond to customer questions, make menu recommendations and upsell
where appropriate.
- Check identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol.
- Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages, complying with all local, state, and
federal liquor laws and food safety regulations.
- Maintaining proper inventory levels required for the shift.
- Prepare and serve menu items according to Casa Do Brasil recipes and guidelines, using
proper equipment and ingredients.
- Provide service to multiple tables and complete tasks in an efficient manner.
- Clean and clear tables.
- Complete credit and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate.
- Move tables and chairs to accommodate large parties and guests with management
discretion.
- Educate yourself and assist co-workers in understanding basic “bar vocabulary”, i.e.,
wine and liquor varieties, types of mixed drinks, etc.
- Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have or be willing to obtain, within 30 days of hiring date and at employee’s own
cost, an Accredited Food Handler Training Certificate.
- Must have or be willing to obtain, within 30 days of hiring date and at employee’s own
cost, a TABC Certificate.
- Must be able to carry objects up to 15 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and work at a
quick pace.
- Must acknowledge and comply with all Casa Do Brasil policies.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
NOTE: Restaurant operates seven days per week. Scheduling will be based on demands of
restaurant business. Flexibility is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.49 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
