Summary
Porter Receiver is responsible for receiving and organizing deliveries,
maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage areas, and supporting back-of-house
operations to ensure smooth restaurant functionality.
Responsibilities
Receive and
inspect all deliveries (food, beverages, and supplies), ensuring quality,
accuracy, and proper documentation.
Safely store
products using proper food safety practices, ensuring First In, First Out
FIFO) rotation.
Maintain
cleanliness and organization of receiving areas, storage spaces, refrigerators,
freezers, and waste disposal areas.
Assist with
general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing kitchen
and back-of-house areas.
Monitor inventory
levels and report low stock, damaged goods, or discrepancies to management.
Support kitchen
operations by restocking ingredients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Adhere to health,
safety, and sanitation regulations, reporting any hazards or maintenance issues
promptly.
Qualifications
Prior experience
in receiving, porter work, or food handling preferred.
Ability to lift
and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
Strong
organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic
understanding of food safety and safe storage practices (training provided).
Ability to work
in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
