Wage band range $32.00 - $38.00; however, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. Position is eligible for Bilingual pay incentive

Position can be in Santa Maria office or Goleta office.

Under the guidance of the Wraparound Program Manager of Casa Pacifica, coordinates the development and implementation of individualized service plans, and provides direct services to children and their families in order to maximize the involvement of all persons and the implementation of plans, and facilitates the integration, coordination, and implementation of services. The Family Facilitator Clinician carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it pertains to the program development of children, the activities of children, the clinical development of children, and the general welfare of children.

CREDENTIALS:  AMFT/ASW/APCC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):

  • Assist in the ongoing development and evaluation of the service program.
  • Provide leadership in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of individual wraparound plans.
  • Assume responsibility for configuring and facilitating child and family teams.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate child and family team meetings for development of individualized wraparound plans.
  • Ensure all required assessment measures are completed on a timely basis and within required timeframes.
  • Assume responsibility for the Family Service Plan management activities and implementation of services / coordination of resources for children and families.
  • Conducting Medi-Cal comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for all assigned cases, if required.
  • Providing therapy on cases, if required.
  • Assist in monitoring the Child and Family Plan expenses / budget and secure community team approval for overall budgeted plans.
  • Monitor and support the provision of unconditional care by reassessing and “redoing” individual plans as needed, ensuring that families have access to resources, and maintaining effective relationships with child and family team members.
  • Provide crisis management to families and child and family teams when plans disrupt and onsite consultation to others involved in plans.
  • Participate in 24-hour on-call system including rotating weekend coverage.
  • Assume responsibility for ongoing child and family team development.
  • Attend Case Review on time and arrived prepared to discuss critical issues in families engaged in the process.  Additionally, participates in individual clinical supervision.
  • Carry a case load averaging 8-10 families and is flexible in providing services countywide in a variety of environments (home, school, community, juvenile hall, etc.). Caseload could temporarily be less than or greater based on program needs.
  • Maintain monthly client care/billing goals between 50%-60%.
  • Submit requiring billing forms and progress reports on a timely basis. 
  • Submits required progress notes (Mental Health and Non-Mental Health notes) in a timely basis (best practice within 24 hours of contact, completed no later than 48 hours after contact). 
  • Fills in for duties of other team members, if indicated.
  • Serve as role model and advocate for children and families in wraparound.
  • Monitor and ensure effective linkages with community and agency service providers.
  • Participate in training activities as directed.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with internal staff and external resources.
  • May perform other duties as assigned from time to time.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree with two years experience working with seriously disturbed/at-risk children, adolescents, and their families.  Experience engaging parents as partners and demonstrated ability to successfully work with families from diverse ethnic and cultural groups.  Experience in crisis management a must. AMFT/ASW/APCC.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Ability to use various computer software. Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.  Ability to effectively conduct meetings and motivate others to work collaboratively, excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong organizational, planning, person relationship. Facilitation and service management skills.  

Language skills:  Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, budgets, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, and ratios.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.  Ability to design and maintain a budget.

Reasoning ability:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.          

Supervisory skills:  Ability to effectively supervise and motivate others to perform. Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.   Ability to interview and hire well-suited candidates and to provide/oversee discipline as needed.  Ability to address complaints and resolve problems.
