Wage band range $73,000.00 - $93,000.00 annually. However, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. Position is eligible for Bilingual pay incentive.

The Outpatient program enhances the therapeutic milieu while maintaining whole person support and skill development through individual, group, and family therapy as well as parenting support groups.

We have an outstanding clinical opportunity for a passionate clinician who enjoys working with young adults, families and as part of a multidisciplinary team. This position will provide individual, group, and family therapy, develop treatment plans and complete documentation for regular utilization by various commercial insurance carriers.

Under the direction of the Director of Transitional Youth Services, the Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing and implementing the clinical therapy component of the overall treatment plan. The Outpatient Therapist will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a range of evidence-based treatments and carry out Casa Pacifica's mission as it relates to ongoing clinical assessment, evaluation, and progress of the youth within Casa Pacifica.

CREDENTIALS LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist with California license.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):

  • Provides clinical services such as individual, family, and group therapy, and parent skills training.
  • Utilizes evidence-based practices that are appropriate to meet the clinical needs of the individual and family.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, including Strength and Needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with Transition Facilitators, Independent Life Skill Specialists, placement agencies, and Youth Advocates to provide comprehensive care for the individual and ensure program consistency and continuity.
  • Responsible for maintaining and organized and up-to-date clinical chard in compliance with commercial insurance standards and agency policy.
  • Completes clinical documentation in agency electronic health records.
  • Assist in program development and training to ensure a therapeutic milieu.
  • Attends outside training events and conferences as requested.
  • Maintains compliance with all local, County, State, and Federal government regulations including Titel 22, Division 6, and prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.  


Minimum Requirements / Qualifications (All applicants MUST meet the minimum qualifications):

Position requires staff must be at least 21 years of age. Completed and cleared Livescan, criminal statement, health screening with TB test. Must undergo a one-hour training which reviews mandatory reporting requirements as per Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA).  This training takes place during pre-service orientation training and periodically thereafter.

Valid driver’s license is required for transporting youths. Any changes that occur on your driving record must be reported immediately to supervisor and Human Resources.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist with three to five years’ experience working with individuals with complex trauma.

CREDENTIALS LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist with California license.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to use various computers Software, Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to write comprehensive evaluations and progress notes/ reports on youth’s treatment goals.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
