Cascade AIDS Project is excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-oriented Health Related Social Needs (HRSN) Benefits Implementation Administrator. The HRSN Benefits Implementation Administrator will be a member of CAP’s Housing & Support Services department and will work with the staff and management of CAP to provide high-quality, coordinated, strengths-based social services, consistent with the agency’s mission, to the communities we serve. The HRSN Benefits Implementation Administrator will develop a deep understanding of CCBF and HRSN and will create and implement the necessary administrative, billing and referral policies, procedures and practices for CAP to be able to contract with Medicaid providers to provide HRSN housing and climate benefits to clients. As part of this work, the HRSN Benefits Implementation Administrator will also register CAP in the Connect Oregon Unite Us platform to be able to receive and process HRSN referrals and to invoice for HRSN services provided.
This is initially conceived as a limited duration 12-month position but may extend as funding allows
This is a Full-Time role working at our Davis St location in the Old Town area of Portland, OR. This position will also travel around the Portland Metro area for community meetings. The schedule for this role is a Hybrid Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Starting pay for this position is $64.676.19. This is a union represented position, so the compensation, benefits and conditions of work are collectively bargained.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in human/social services field (social work, public or community health, psychology) or related field and two years of experience relevant to the position
- Experience with program development and implementation, quality management and data compliance
- Experience working with people who are experiencing housing insecurity or instability
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working knowledge of the internet
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Successful experience working with ethnic, racial, economic and sexually diverse populations and persons who have experienced homelessness, persons with a mental illness and/or substance addiction
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement all HRSN activities
- Create all written policies, procedures and workflows necessary for CAP to be in compliance to become an HRSN provider and to effectively deliver HRSN services
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all related confidentiality/privacy legal requirements
- Provide training and support to other staff as needed on how to refer, access and/or provide HRSN services
- Receive and implement technical assistance and training from Health Share on HRSN roles, HIPAA compliance and how to implement this new program
- Participate in learning collaboratives with other CCBF/HRSN providers
- Enter data into agency databases, including HMIS and the Unite Us platform.
- Work in collaboration with medical case managers, medical providers, and other service providers involved in client care to provide coordinated support
- Develop knowledge of local resources and make appropriate referrals to housing services, employment services, mental health services, substance use services, or other community services as needed.
