ABOUT CASCADE:
Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County. The Cascade Evaluation and Treatment Center provides intensive mental health and psychiatric services for adults 18 and older. This 22-bed facility has 16 beds on the evaluation and treatment unit, and 6 beds on our crisis stabilization unit.
We are looking for a Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient team. You will provide psychiatric services to admitted clients in the inpatient program.
*This is not a telework position, this position requires an on-site provider*
SHIFT AVAILABLE:
Day Shift: Sunday - Wednesday, 9:00am-7:00pm (Start time is flexible, 4 - 10 hour days)
This position will require a non-standard workday/week, including holidays and compensated on-call time. It is expected that the provider is on-site (except for on-call time), this is not a telecommuting position.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:
- Must be licensed to work in Washington State as an Advanced Practice Nurse, and a Registered Nurse.
- Two years’ experience in a related field preferred.
- PMHNP certifications required. Dual Certification (FNP) preferred.
- BLS Certification required.
- Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. A national background check may be required if you haven’t lived in WA State consecutively the last three years. Must be able to represent the Agency in a positive and professional manner.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to enter information into a computer network system.
- Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
- Must be able to gain access to all types of buildings and residences regardless of the structures’ handicapped accessibility or lack thereof.
- Must maintain current home telephone and address on file with the Human Resources office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provides psychiatric assessments for admitted clients.
- Participate in the multidisciplinary treatment teams and work collaboratively with other disciplines in planning for treatment of clients.
- Coordinates care with psychiatric nursing and medical teams.
- Provides individual, family, group therapy, and case management and medication management as appropriate.
- Coordinates treatment services with agency programs, other relevant agencies and others involved in the client’s life, i.e. family, friends, employer and others the client may choose.
- Provides court testimony as requested/required.
- Completes all documentation requirements according to policy.
- Attend and participate in clinical assessment team (CAT) meeting.
- Maintains records and reports in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Participates in supervision, consultation and training at the direction of the supervisor.
- Coordinate client data processing procedures and provides consultation to Cascade staff, including primary clinician/ETC staff, regarding client care as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing and walking for long periods of time, majority of scheduled shift.
- Protective holds, movements and carries.
- Blocking and redirecting patient movements.
- Physical interventions in response to aggressive and self-injurious behavior.
- Ability to move quickly and confidently to intervene in situations when protective holds and/or movements are deemed necessary.
- Ability to pursue a client in the event they try to leave the secure unit.
- Successful completion of MOAB training (Management of Aggressive Behavior).
- Including but not limited to pivoting, knee squats, shuffling front and backwards, assisting a person to the floor, stabilizing people in standing, seated, lying and supine positions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
